Suggest a Title for Purchase

In order to allow all patrons the opportunity to have their suggested titles considered for purchase, beginning the week of February 20, 2022, purchase requests will be limited to 5 per week per cardholder. Requests in excess of the weekly limit will automatically be referred for interlibrary loan when eligible.



Use this form to suggest an item for purchase. Due to the number of requests received, we are only able to consider purchase requests from library card holders.

Please do not use this form for requesting holds on items the library currently owns. Log in to your account at https://gilibrary.tlcdelivers.com or call the library at 308-385-5333 to have staff assit you in placing holds.

We greatly appreaciate your suggestions for our collection. While we would like to be able to add everything suggested to our collection, it is not always possible due to cost, availability from vendors, age of item, suitability for a public library collection, and many other factors.

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)
Interlibrary Loan Details
ILLs cost $5.00 to cover library rate postage to return the item to the lending library. Availability, length of loan, and renewal policies for items depend upon the lending library policy. Generally, we will try to borrow from other Nebraska libraries first, but this may not always be possible. Due to varying response and shipping times, we cannot guarantee an interlibrary loaned item will arrive by a certain date.

Requests for new materials (those released within the past year) electronic formats, and some genealogical and other rare materials typically are not able to be fulfilled through ILL.
