We sometimes encounter the needs of those experiencing homelessness or addiction and focus our energies to aiding them with donations, food and temporary shelter. But how do
we provide for the spiritual support needed for those who are living a life of struggle? This session, led by members of the Ignatian Spirituality Project (ispretreats.org), will focus on the spirituality of struggle that develops for those who are recovering from homelessness and addiction. Jim Broderick King (RJ Class of 1987 and ISP Regional Director) will be joined by his ISP colleague Christine Curran and an ISP veteran and current volunteer Jerome Thomas, who himself is succeeding in his life after homelessness and addiction in Washington, DC. Come to hear this shared story of finding God on an Ignatian retreat and living a mission-driven life to help others who struggle.
Light refreshments will be available after the presentation.
