Join Us to Strengthen the Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled Program: 2019-2020 EAEDC Bill Campaign Organizational Endorsement Form
Please join us as part of the 2019-2020 bill campaign to strengthen assistance for participants of the Emergency Aid to the Elderly, Disabled, and Children (EAEDC) program.

Representative Jim O'Day and Senator Patricia Jehlen have re-filed An Act relative to assisting elders and people with disabilities in the Commonwealth. See House Bill 621 and Senate Bill 356: and

These bills seek to:

1. Enshrine in state statute the removal of the homelessness penalty for individuals experiencing homelessness. With our FY'19 and FY'20 budget victories, this change is in effect until at least June 30, 2020.

2. Increase the EAEDC grant. which has not been increased since 1988.

3. Increase the allowable personal asset limit from $250 to $2,500.

4. Create an annual cost of living adjustment (COLA) for EAEDC program participants.
