St James Primary School - Public Consultation on our Strategic Plan to 2025
St James Primary is a thriving Church of England Primary School, situated in the village of Elstead. As a primary school we provide a seamless education for our children over seven years, from their first day of school at age 4 or 5 until they leave us ready for secondary school. Our school offers children a happy, challenging learning environment, based on a Christian ethos, where all are encouraged, supported and nurtured. We have high expectations for learning, noted by Ofsted, and focus on ‘bringing out the best’ in every child. We are rated Good by Ofsted and SIAMS and aspire to achieve Outstanding.

The Governing Body sets the strategic direction for the school, and in doing this we take a child-centred approach to improving outcomes for every child whilst ensuring the financial sustainability of the school for the benefit of future generations of children.

We are developing our Strategic Plan for the next 5 years and are seeking your views to help shape the future of St James. We recognise the important role that our school plays in the village, Parish and wider community and will use your feedback to further define our Strategic Objectives which are based around the following three principles:

1. Be the school of choice for local families through the provision of high quality education and pastoral care
2. Maintain our reputation for delivering positive outcomes for all our children
3. Maintain or exceed Ofsted and SIAMS ‘Good’ status

Our consultation is open until midnight on 13th October 2019 through our school website, and we welcome your views on our survey questions. Paper copies of the Local Community section of the survey may be obtained from the school office during term time or at the rear of St James Church. Please post completed paper copies of the survey through the school letter box by 13th October.

Thank you for taking the time to complete our survey. Please select all answers that apply other than in the first question where we would like to know your top 3 choices. Where you select 'other' we invite you to share your views with us. Your response can be anonymous, but if you wish to be entered into a draw to win a £50 M&S voucher please provide your name and contact details at the end of the survey.

Many thanks

The Governors of St James Primary School
