The Richmond Housing Justice Collective is seeking stories about employment and income loss due to the city-wide water outage. Richmond has the second-highest eviction rate in the country, and the loss of income puts many residents in danger of being unable to pay rent in the coming month.
The collective is asking Richmond City Council and Mayor Avula to send a letter to the General District Courts and ask them pause evictions for the next quarter.
