Dr. Kosha Thakore is the Chief of the Division of the Palliative Care Service and the Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at Newton-Wellesley Hospital.  She is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at Tufts University School of Medicine.  She has been on staff at NWH since 2009 and is a recognized educator, having been awarded the Locke Teaching Award on numerous occasions as well as Pillars in Excellence Awards for innovative educational program development.  Dr. Thakore graduated magna cum laude with her undergraduate degree from Wellesley College, obtained her medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine, and completed her residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Michigan.  She has been instrumental in developing COVID-19 vaccine educational efforts to ensure equitable distribution of the vaccine among employees at NWH.
