RSVP for "A Shameful Connection: Zip Code and Infant Mortality"
Join Women's Voices at The Heights (8001 Dale Ave., 63117) on Thursday, November 9, 2017.
Doors open at 6:30 PM; event begins at 7:00 PM.

Each year, 260 babies die in St. Louis before their first birthday. Just a few minutes from some of the top-ranking hospitals in the country, there are neighborhoods with infant mortality rates worse than in some developing countries. For too many families, the soul wrenching loss of a baby is a heartbreaking reality. This is unacceptable. Learn why this is happening, and what is being done about it. Learn about Flourish, an organization on the forefront of efforts to be sure that every child sees his or her first birthday.

Speaker:
Kate Kasper is a Manager of Strategic Initiatives with Generate Health, an organization that coordinates with Flourish to reduce the rate of infant mortality in St. Louis. Ms. Kasper’s work as an advocate for the rights of women and women’s health spans 15 years. For the past 10 years, she has been working with state organizations to further women’s health in Missouri.
