Community and neighborhood boundaries have been fraught in Detroit and many different entities have come up with their own whether that is a community association with a historic track record, nonprofits launching new programs, or even city government hoping to "name every neighborhood." The fact of the matter in Detroit is that there has been very limited community engagement when it comes to defining neighborhoods. Ideally, this would be both a digital and analog (or some unique combination) to collect community responses about neighborhood boundaries, their importance, stories, and local knowledge.
