Junior Red Angus Young Stockman Program

JRA members will have the opportunity to participate in the JRA Young Stockman Program during the Red Angus activities at the 2015 National Western Stock Show in Denver, Colo. The JRA Young Stockman Program features a hands-on approach to learning opportunities for juniors who wish to increase their cattle knowledge and skills.

The two-day program will feature field trips (including Colorado State University) around the Denver area and will host speakers from a variety of areas within the cattle industry.

The Young Stockman Program will be held every other year (2015, 2017 ...) in rotation with Loaded 4 Leadership (2016, 2018 ...) and each year of Young Stockman will focus on a different aspect of the industry.

The 2015 Red Angus Young Stockman Program will be held January 8 and 9, 2015, Denver, Colo., in conjunction with Red Angus activities at the National Western Stock Show. Thursday will include a field trip to a large cattle feedlot; the Friday schedule will be Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) hands-on training held at the ARDEC Center on the Colorado State University campus in Ft. Collins, Colo.

Mark you calendars and plan to attend the first JRA Young Stockman Program on
