Get Involved - Volunteer with the JHSSC
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with the Jewish Historical Society of South Carolina!

In order to "study, preserve, and promote awareness of the history and culture of the Jews of South Carolina," we need your help. Our current major initiatives include collecting information on the Jewish Merchants of SC, as well as documenting South Carolina's Jewish cemeteries with information of each burial and digital photography of each headstone. If you are interested in participating in either of these projects, please fill out the following survey.

The JHSSC also sponsors or co-sponsors state historical markers at sites of Jewish historical interest. We encourage members and visitors to this website to nominate sites.
