The following questions are for folks who are interested in being involved in building KWEBA community association
KWEBA (Kangaroo Point, Woolloongabba & East Brisbane Association) is a team of community members supported by Amy MacMahon’s South Brisbane office working on starting a community association for 4102 & 4169 postcodes.

The community association will:
  • Be a space for us as the community to identify and advocate for the key issues in our neighbourhood (East Brisbane, Kangaroo Point & Woolloongabba)
  • Organise projects and events that foster community connection and resilience
  • Coordinate direct support for people in need (especially during disasters)

We are worried about our neighbourhoods' increased cost of living and social isolation; lack of transparency from the government with the planning of the Olympics; and the accessibility of our neighbourhood, especially around new developments that are increasing congestion and pushing small businesses out.

We need more people who live or work in Kangaroo Point, Woolloongabba & East Brisbane to get involved.

We acknowledge that we live and work on the stolen lands of the Jagera & Turrabul people. Sovereignty was never ceded.
Would you like to RSVP for the workshop on 23rd October, 10am-1pm at East Brisbane Community Centre  *
If yes, do you have any accessibility or dietary requirements?
