Great Streets Del Rey - Vote on Designs
The Great Streets Challenge, an initiative of Mayor Eric Garcetti’s Office, is working with our Del Rey community to improve Centinela Ave (between Short and Braddock). During the first phase of this project (2019-20), we asked the community to weigh in on types of changes you'd like to see, and we are now in the process of finalizing the design. As part of this process, we want and need your input on various elements included in this survey. Thank you for being part of this process!
The map below shows community-requested changes that will be constructed as part of the Build phase of this project. The questions that follow will ask for your input on tree types (in green), and paint colors for curb extensions (locations show in pink below).
Community members requested curb extensions at certain locations. Please help us choose your preferred color palette for the paint. (Select one)
Neutral colors (grays and tans)
Warm Colors (reds and oranges)
Bright Colors (Pink, purples, blues)
Community members requested street trees be planted in currently empty tree wells. Please help us choose your preferred City-approved tree type. (Select one)
Shade Tree (Golden Rain Tree)
Flowering Tree (Crape Myrtle)
Desert Tree (Desert Willow)
