Climate Reality turns 20 this year! This means 20 years of climate justice leadership and advocating for clean, cheap and accessible energy.

Tackling global injustices starts locally. In our communities, municipalities and even within ourselves. With the right tools, solidarity and care, we can turn fossil fuel control into people power for a just transition.

Climate Reality Europe’s virtual Climate Justice Training is an intense 6-session training and will run from 5 - 16 October. It is open to European Climate Reality Leaders as well as active and interested citizens from the continent who have the basic knowledge about climate change science and want to learn about the injustices and intersectionality of the climate crisis, with the intent of engaging communities in local action.

Each session is 120 minutes and is divided into a presentation part (held by Climate Reality Leaders or external experts) and an interactive part consisting of group discussions and active engagement.

Each session requires a short pre-assignment to allow for reflection and ideation.

The ultimate goal of the training is for each participant to draft a climate justice project proposal based on the knowledge and skills they’ve acquired from the sessions. Together as the 2026 training cohort, the group will also take some online actions.

Participants will get a training certificate upon completion of the sessions. Please note that there is a requirement of 80% live participation in order to receive the certificate.

The training is only open to European Climate Reality Leaders and interested parties based in Europe due to the thematic focus of locally identifying climate injustices (but always with a global lens and embedded into global power structures). Please note that this training will be offered in English language, but you may enable Zoom AI translation.
