EDUCATIONAL OPPORTUNITY PROGRAM Graduation Gown Lending Project Spring 2017
Graduation can be a very exciting moment for many of our students, but for some, the cost of buying a graduation gown is another expense that impedes them from fully experiencing the culminating moment of their academic achievement. The Educational Opportunity Program has created the Graduation Gown Lending Project to support first generation, low income, and/or underrepresented UC Berkeley students with free rental of graduation gowns and caps.
All applications will be processed on a first-come, first-served basis and financial need.

All students will be notified about their application status via email.

Pick Up and Return Dates:
All gowns and caps will be distributed at Stiles Hall and returned to the Dreamers Resource Center in 119 Cesar Chavez (or anywhere stated otherwise). Dates and times are TBD but will be included in the notification email. Please make sure to bring your student identification card when you pick up your gown and cap.

Late and Damage Return Fees:
The graduation gown and cap rental is free. All gowns must be returned clean and in excellent condition. Gowns not returned on time or returned with damages (rips, stains, etc) will result in your CARS account being charged $50.

In order to qualify you must be:
1) Low Income (Pell Grant or Dream Act Scholarship eligible as verified by Financial Aid)

2) First Generation College Student (Parent(s) have not graduated from a four-year college or university in the United States)

3) Historically Underrepresented Students

**Please note that non-immigrant international students studying at Berkeley on student visas are not considered EOP**
