June 29 RSVP: Free screening of "Our Island's Treasure" and "Himeyuri" in Torrance, CA
NOTE: This event was originally going to show the documentary "Henoko, Oura Bay: The Sea of Life," but we will instead be showing two 30-minute short films: "Our Island's Treasure," a documentary by an Okinawan American high school student in Oregon, and "Himeyuri," a World War II-focused film produced by the Himeyuri Peace Foundation in Okinawa. We hope that you will still consider joining us to learn about the Battle of Okinawa and current U.S. military base issues in Okinawa. (A future screening of "Henoko, Oura Bay: The Sea of Life" is being planned)

The event will be on June 29, 2019 at 2706 W. 182nd St., Torrance, CA 90504 (Fruit of the Spirit Lutheran Church / Christ the King Lutheran Church). The program will begin at 2 p.m.
