Thanks for your interest in holding a BoF at GCC2022. Please submit your Birds of a Feather session idea below.

Bird of a Feather (BoF) sessions provide opportunities to gather and discuss special topics of interest. If you have a topic you would like to invite others to discuss with you or believe you have a topic that is of interest to the Galaxy community, submit the following form to indicate your interest in organizing such a session.

It is entirely up to you how a BoF is organized, and can also have a social focus. For example, you may adopt a structured approach with presentations, an agenda-driven event, or just an open-ended discussion. Whichever model you choose, please ensure there is time for discussion so participants are engaged.

The deadline for submissions is July 15th but we encourage earlier submissions so that participants can plan their program accordingly. The Conference Organizers will then create a schedule page for the BoF and advertise it. See https://bit.ly/gcc2022-bofs for a list of topics that are already planned.

BoF description *

What's the BoF about? Who is the target audience? What should people come prepared to discuss or do? The text can contain links. Provide 3-5 sentences describing the topics you would like to discuss at this BoF. The description should be targeted to attract participation and will be printed on the conference schedule.

Scheduling: What times would work best for this BoF? *

We will do our best to schedule BoFs at your preferred times and so that concurrent BoFs complement each other, rather than compete with each other.

Would you you like to have your BoF be onsite in the conference facility, or in a nearby offsite location? If you want to meet offsite we will provide you with some options in early July. (Note, you can also start onsite, and then if you run longer than the allocated time, move offsite too)
