View From Behind the Director's Chair: Application

Teens in grades 7 – 12 are invited to learn professional documentary skills in this eight-week workshop. Selected participants will learn camera basics, lighting and sound techniques, and create their own documentary. A Film Fest will allow students to share their finished work with family and friends.

All skill levels are welcome to apply. Teens must live in Downers Grove or attend a Downers Grove school. Applications will be accepted May 1-25.

Sessions will be on the following Thursdays, 6:30-8:30 p.m.:

  • June 8
  • June 15
  • June 22
  • June 29
  • Off for 4th of July week
  • July 13
  • July 20
  • July 27
  • Aug 3

The final Film Fest will be Saturday, August 5th, at 1 p.m.

Students should be able to commit to at least 7 of the 8 sessions in order to not miss vital information.
