Robin in the Hood Medieval Festival Code of Conduct 2025
This code of conduct will be applied to all vendors, their employees or volunteers
who participate in the festival. The following behaviours and actions will not be
tolerated at any rehearsal or festival event towards any individual or group:
- Abusive language or actions
- Possession or use of alcoholic beverages or illegal drugs
- Participation in any festival event while under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
- Possession or use of dangerous or unauthorized materials such as explosives, firearms, weapons, or other similar items;
- All stage weapons and props will have to be peace tied
- All bows must be UNSTRUNG and no arrows can be carried
- No selling of weapons to any person under the age of 18 (If confirmed that your business has done so, you will not be allowed to return)
- Discourtesy or rudeness
- Verbal, physical, or visual harassment
- Actual or threatened violence
- Conduct endangering the life, safety, health or well-being of others or self
- Bullying or taking unfair advantage of any individual or group
Violations of this Code of Conduct can result in any of the following:- A verbal warning
- Put on probation for the following festival year
- Formal write up of the incident that occurred
- Removal from the festival
- Not being invited back in subsequent years
- In a serious situation, legal action and police involvement may be necessary
The Robin in the Hood Medieval Festival empowers its participants to address any situation which they believe to be serious enough to warrant immediate intervention. At the earliest possible instance, a member of the Robin in the Hood Committee or Board should be informed of any serious violations of this Code of Conduct. (If unsure who to approach, most of the cast and crew should direct you to someone)
