Request for Waiver of Transportation Fee
This form should only be submitted by University of Minnesota students to request a waiver of the Transportation & Safety Fee of $74 included with their tuition.

Submitting this form does not guarantee a waiver. The Transportation and Safety Fee supports the campus bus infrastructure, including the Campus Connectors and Circulators, and the Safe Walk Program, which is designed to enhance safe campus transportation for all students. The fee is an integral part of ensuring that safe transit and walk services are available for students, parents, and the University of Minnesota community. The fee also includes the Universal Transit Pass which provides unlimited access to the regional transit system in the Twin Cities metro area. The Transportation and Safety Fee is not and has never been charged based on a set amount of usage of these services.

In alignment with the Board of Regents decision regarding Student Services Fees and the statement acknowledged by registering students, PTS reserves the right not to waive the Transportation and Safety Fee.
