Traditional Caddo Pottery Workshop & Exhibition
Event Timing: Saturday, October 17th, 9am-4pm.
Event Address: Caddo Cultural Building, Binger, OK
Contact and questions: kahwinhut@gmail.com

I will be hosting and teaching a 1 day Traditional Caddo Pottery workshop where participants will learn how to hand-build a small Caddo style pot using hand dug clay tempered with freshwater mussel shell that I provide.
In the class we will talk about the history of the Caddos as it pertains to our ancient and now contemporary pottery while making the pottery. I will then go over finishing techniques, and I will fire the participants pottery in an open ground wood fire at a later date at my property. (participants are welcome to join).

Once all the pieces are finished and fired, we will be displaying them at the Caddo Headquarters in a small display shelf for a couple of months as a small traditional Caddo student's exhibition.
Lunch will be served from 11:30-12:30pm (cold sandwiches( ham, turkey), chips, drinks, etc) (Or bring your own yummy food!)

This class is for ages 16+ and up, and is geared towards beginners!
We can only accept 10 people, so of course we only want people that are really interesting in learning and that will participate. It is open to all Caddo Nation registered members. I will be selecting participants based on their registration application answers and on a first come first served basis.
