Thank you for your interest in being in the 2023 Kaposia Days Grande Parade. The parade will take place Friday, June 23 beginning at 6:30 PM.
Read through the guidelines, complete this application then submit your registration fee.
All parade correspondence will be sent via email.
* Applications and fees must be received by Friday, June 16. 2023
* Participation and placement are based on the needs of the event, availability of space, existing parade presence, safety, sound and nature of each entry as it relates to the community. We can not ensure every applicant's participation.
* There will be a "Quiet Zone" at the end of parade route. This will help anyone in our community that is sensory friendly, has a new baby and is looking to enjoy the parade with their family or for older community members that have a hard time hearing. We will send out more information about that, closer to the Kaposia Days weekend.
* Registration fee is $225.00 payable to Kaposia Days for commercial entities and politicians.
Politician MUST pay a separate registration fee. There is NO fee for 501(c)3 Non-Profits or visiting Royalty groups.
FOR SAFETY REASONS, NOTHING IS ALLOWED TO BE THROWN FROM A MOVING/ NON- MOVING PARADE VEHICLE/ FLOAT! Items may be handed out by people walking with your entry.
* Parade will be held rain or shine, except in cases of severe weather. Should parade be cancelled for any reason, the parade will NOT BE RESCHEDULED. In this case, registration fees are NON-REFUNDABLE.
* Participants shall not consume alcoholic beverages during the parade. No advertising of alcohol is allowed, in any matter.
*Participants must clean up after any animals while in the parade is setting up and during the parade.
* Children under 12 years of age must be supervised from parade line up to completion.
* Lineup starts at 5:00 PM.
* Line up will be posted at
www.kaposiadays.org one week prior to the parade. It will also be emailed to parade participants.
*The parade starts promptly at 6:30 PM. The route is posted at
www.kaposiadays.org on the Grande Parade page.
* There is limited parking near the parade lineup area. Participants are encouraged to carpool or to be brought and dropped off. Vehicles can not park along the parade route or the staging area, regardless of weather.
