Reclaim Rebuild Eg West Tenant Support
For BIPOC residents and tenants in the Little Jamaica in need of rent or other shelter (IE hydro, utilities) relief.

Applicants are eligible to receive up to $700 in one time Rent Relief for the first round of funding. Once we notify you if your application has been approved, we will send funds within 14 days. Please be patient as we are bounded by etransfer daily limits on how much we can send within a day.

The first round of funding will constitute $13,300 and would serve 19 applicants at $700 each, all of which will be processed before the end of the month of May.  If you owe less than $700 in rent and other shelter related expenses, please be mindful of this and request less than the maximum amount so that we can serve what we expect to be a higher volume of applicants. We encourage you to share this fundraiser widely so that we can open up a second round of funding. See here: https://www.gofundme.com/f/eg-west-tennant-relief-fund?

In order to be eligible, you must be a residential tenant living in a unit not owned or managed by a family member; this fund is not for homeowner expenses, covering the mortgage, or for landlords. Priority will go towards Black Tenants, then BIPOC who self identify as from the Cultural Caribbean Community, who live in Toronto's Little Jamaica/Eglinton West/Oakwood Vaughn area. Non-BIPOC folks are not eligible for the first round of funding.

We encourage all to fill out Section 3, which is entirely optional but helps us gauge how to best provide sustained support beyond direct financial relief.
