$500 scholarship is offered by the Lucile M. Wright Air Museum to support the educational goals of a deserving student as s/he pursues a career in an aviation-related field.
To be eligible to apply a student must:
1. Be a senior in a high school in Chautauqua or Cattaraugus County, or an aviation-related curriculum at an accredited post-secondary institution.
To be eligible to receive the award a student must:
1. Have completed one term/semester of study (at least 12 credit hours) at an accredited post-secondary institution
2. Have a minimum GPA of 3.00((Most recent transcript required with application).
3. Have completed some type of community service or service with youth.
If the applicant is currently enrolled in an accredited post-secondary institution then a transcript may be provided at the time of application and the money could be given out once the decision is made. If a high school student receives the scholarship then the money cannot be given until the student provides a transcript after one or two semesters of study at an accredited institution.
