At Curiouser Books we welcome consignment applications from self-published, local authors. Our consignment terms are for 90 days with the possibility of renewal depending on book sales.

How consignment works: 
1. Complete this form as well as you can 
2. You will hear back from us in 7-10 business days
3. Upon acceptance a Consignment Agreement will be sent to you for review and signing
4. Please bring completed Consignment Agreement with up to three copies of each approved title to the bookstore during open hours
5. Consignment terms are 60/40% (60% to authors, 40% to bookstore) with no shelf rental or stock fees 
6. Author payments are made quarterly by check to be picked up at the bookstore 
7. It is the author's responsibility to restock books during their 90 day term. You can check on the status of your book sales by calling/texting the bookstore or sending an email. 


If you're interested in participating in our Second Saturday event by doing a book signing, please let us know when you bring by your agreement and books. 

Book sales can be highly competitive. Local authors who are actively promoting their book/s and that readers can purchase them locally can expect higher sales then those who are not promoting buying their books at Curiouser Books. 

At the end of your 90 day term, unless both parties agree to renew, you can pick up your unsold books at the cash wrap. Books not picked up within 30 days will be donated.


We are proud to support local authors through our consignment program. We do our best to provide shelf space for consignment books, while still keeping in mind our inventory needs and the interests of our customers.
