The Yarmouth Local would like to continue celebrating our educators . We have so many amazing educators, and we feel that they should be recognized. 

We will be choosing one educator from our local area every month to highlight and celebrate. We will choose one educator for November, December, January, February, March, April and May. The educators chosen will receive a certificate, gift card and a small write up on our Facebook page. 

Criteria can be any of the following:

• Teaching Excellence: Demonstrates effective teaching methods that engage students and foster learning.

• Innovation: Implements creative and innovative strategies or technologies in the classroom.

• Student Impact: Shows significant positive impact on student achievement and growth.

• Collaboration: Works collaboratively with colleagues, sharing best practices and contributing to a positive school environment.

• Professional Development: Actively seeks out and participates in professional development opportunities to enhance skills.

• Community Engagement: Involves students in community service or fosters connections between school and community.

• Support and Mentorship: Provides support and mentorship to students and fellow educators.

• Commitment to Inclusivity: Promotes an inclusive environment that respects diversity and supports all students.

• Positive Attitude: Maintains a positive attitude and inspires others, contributing to a supportive school culture.

• Adaptability: Demonstrates flexibility in adapting to challenges and changing circumstances in education.

Please provide us with a small write up explaining why you believe this educator is deserving of the educator of the month award. Please include the school and assignment with each nomination. You can nominate as many educators as you wish.
