Organizations are welcome to submit already planned events or create new events specifically for Skokie Arts & Humanities Month. Events must be open to the public. Events with an admission fee or required RSVP are permitted but must be indicated in the event description.
Events Criteria- Events must be related to the arts and humanities.
- Events must be open to the public.
- Events must take place in Skokie.
- Events must take place in venues open to the public - events in private homes are not permitted.
- We encourage events to take place at venues that are ADA compliant - we will ask that you note this on your event submissions.
- Events must take place in October of 2023.
- Both free and paid events are permitted.
- Ongoing classes are not permitted, but one time workshops are eligible.

Event Submission Process
Step 1:
Please complete this form to register as a participating organization.
Deadline to register as Participating Organization: September 1
Step 2:
Approved organizations will be emailed a link and instructions for submitting events to the Skokie Arts & Humanities Month Calendar. Organizations are permitted to submit multiple events.
Deadline to submit events: September 15 (but events submitted earlier will be posted on the events calendar on a rolling basis once they are approved)
Step 3:
The Village of Skokie Fine Arts Commission will review all submitted events. Approved events that meet the required criteria will be included in the
Skokie Arts & Humanities Month Calendar on the Village of Skokie's website at www.skokie.org
Marketing
Participating organizations will be provided both digital and print assets to promote their participation. All approved events will be featured in an interactive calendar on the Village of Skokie website. The calendar will be promoted through the Village of Skokie's social media channels and the SkokieNews email newsletter. Skokie Arts and Humanities Month posters will be distributed to area business.
