Somatics for Movers: Fall/Winter 2025
with Rebecca Brooks
Somatics for Movers is a space to be with who you are, collapsing time with who you have been and might be, experiencing, imagining, witnessing.
The heart of this class is a verbally guided somatic movement exploration—an extended, meditative improvisation shaped by felt sense, imagery, and internal cues. Each person moves at their own pace, following their unique range of motion and inner experience. We often draw from developmental movement patterns—both pre-birth and post-birth—exploring the early states, patterns and capacities that continue to live in our bodies.
This class is accessible to adults with or without prior movement training. If you're curious about how we move—and how movement shapes how we feel, think, and relate—this class is for you.
