Thank you for your interest in applying to serve as an Artemis Ambassador! The National Wildlife Federation's Artemis program uplifts women hunters and anglers as conservation leaders, and the Ambassador program offers a community of sportswomen growing their leadership in conservation and the sporting world together.
Ambassadors serve in 2-year terms, with potential to renew. Benefits of serving as an Ambassador include leadership development, professional and personal networking, opportunities to hunt and fish with like-minded women, chances to empower other women to hunt and fish, and a platform to have your voice heard and to grow as a conservation leader.
We are accepting applications for our new cohort of Ambassadors through January 11, 2026. After the deadline has closed, our team will review applications and invite candidates we feel could be a strong fit to an online interview with our staff.
The Artemis program is a diverse, supportive space for all women hunters and anglers across the nation - the only eligibility requirements we have are that you identify as a woman, have a passion for hunting and/or fishing, reside in the United States, and have a desire to engage in the conservation world. We believe conservation and sporting benefit from diverse perspectives and lived experiences, and that there truly is room for all - we highly encourage underrepresented hunters and anglers to apply!
States we are prioritizing in our search this year: Alaska (specifically northern/western/interior), Arizona, California (specifically northern), Florida, Hawaii, Idaho, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana (specifically eastern), Nebraska, North Dakota, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, Wisconsin, Wyoming.
We may publish anonymized aggregate data from the applications we receive, but all identifiable information shared in this application will remain confidential to Artemis program staff. No information unique to you will be shared externally without your written consent.
