What is a parishioner?

A parish is a place where we gather together to celebrate the Eucharist and worship God together.  A parishioner is a member of the St Mary Magdalen community who shares their time, talent and treasure with the faith community. 

Time is shared by attending weekly mass with the community.  The most up to date information and Mass times can be found on our website at www.smmchurch.org

Talent is shared by being involved in the community in whatever your schedule and interest accommodates.  We have lots of ministries at our parish that range from ministry to the sick, liturgical ministries, youth and family programming and of course our athletic program.

Treasure is shared by financially supporting the parish through your offertory donation which enables us to operate the parish, school and ministerial programs.

Registering as Parishioners

The first step to becoming a parishioner is registration.  You can register on our website at https://smmchurch.org/welcome. A parish staff member will follow up to complete your registration.

Qualifying for the Parishioner Tuition Rate for 2025/26 SY
To receive the parishioner tuition rate for St. Mary Magdalen School 2025/26 school year, you must be a registered parishioner in good standing by June 15th of each calendar school year.  A parishioner in good standing contributes $15 weekly or $65 a month. This results in a total of $780 for the school year.

Offertory Contributions

The yearly offertory amount that must be met to qualify for the tuition rate is $780.  This can be met by contributing $15 weekly, $65 monthly (some months have more than 4 weeks), or $195 quarterly. 

Quarterly payments of $195 will be due on September 30th, December 30th, March 30th, and June 30th. You will receive a notice after these dates if you are behind on offertory. Failure to pay the minimum offertory contributions for the year will result in you losing your ability to receive the parishioner tuition rate for the next school year. The offertory schedule is from July 1st through June 30th.

Payments/Payment Setup

There are a variety of ways to give your offertory donation:

- Traditional envelopes given during weekly mass offertory collection. 

- Weekly automatic donation withdrawals

- Monthly recurring donations
