🌷  Spring Break 2023 Graduate Student Writing Retreat (in-person and virtual)  🌷
This FREE writing retreat (hosted by University Writing Services) will be held Wednesday, March 15 through Thursday, March 16. Both days will take place from 10 am to 4:30 pm. Drop in anytime.

It will be facilitated by Alexander Ocasio, PhD,  the Coordinator of Academic Support for University Writing Services at Saint Louis University. The facilitator will demonstrate different timed writing activities and discuss a variety of motivational strategies in order to help increase productivity and combat procrastination, especially during a university holiday.

In-Person Location: Busch Student Center, Suite 331 (also known as the Student Success Center) on the North campus

Zoom Meeting ID (for both days): 972 9285 8462
Passcode: writing
Zoom Meeting URL: https://slu.zoom.us/j/97292858462?pwd=TUxuUkYvQUdqNmhEM3A4WGtvTkE5dz09

The majority of the retreat will be dedicated to writing in a quiet, structured environment (alongside other scholars) with the intention of helping you make actual progress towards the completion of your seminar paper, thesis, dissertation, publication, and/or fellowship application.

Make sure to bring your current writing project, research, and/or data sets.

A limited number of one-on-one appointments will also be available to the first 15 registrants on a first-come, first-served basis. If you are one of these early registrants, you will be contacted ahead of time to schedule your writing consultation based on your preferred modality (in-person, asynchronous, or via Zoom).

Light snacks will be provided throughout the day. Lunch is *not* included.

This retreat is particularly helpful for graduate students who are behind on their project or who want to maximize their break and get ahead.
