Since 2015 the Philadelphia Drivers' Union has fought for the rights of Uber and Lyft drivers across Pennsylvania. As one of the oldest organizations in the world specifically addressing the needs of app-based transportation workers, PDU has won millions of dollars back for drivers, reversed countless deactivations, and given drivers a voice with legislators and regulators.

Philadelphia Drivers' Union has never strayed from the course to build a movement BY drivers, FOR drivers, WITHOUT EXCEPTION. We are run by volunteer drivers fighting together for respect and fairness. There are currently no fees to join, and membership is based on participation. I would like to be a part of building a union of app-based drivers united in the following demands: (1) Minimum Universal Sick Pay 4 weeks- expanded to cover pre-existing conditions and family care, No doctor note required, Covers 100% of average weekly earnings for the last four months (2) All Additional National Stimulus Must Extend to App-based Workers (3) During Local, State, or National State of Emergency ALL Active Workers Receive Hazard Pay- Minimum hazard wage of $50 per hour, Workers must receive training on the hazards congruent with WHO best practices, appropriate PPE and healthcare coverage to mitigate the hazards, notifications of specific hazards of each job before opting in, Access to a 24/7 hotline to report health and safety issues and receive assistance in filing for any associated benefits such as sick pay or unemployment should they report an exposure.Immediate (4) PERMANENT Expansion of Unemployment Insurance to App-Based Workers in Every State (5) Immediate Expansion of Medicaid to ALL Uncovered Workers *
