Advanced notification of a student’s absence is requested as a courtesy, but does not exempt the student from payment as contracted.
It is the responsibility of the student or parent to notify Opus119 office (not the teacher) for any absence before 7pm prior to the scheduled lesson date in order to qualify for make-up lesson. Failure to do so will result in the forfeiture of the lesson and will not be eligible for make-up lesson. To verify your request to cancel the lesson, you will receive a confirmation email. If a student calls in sick prior to the lesson on the lesson day, a doctor’s note is required for a makeup. Make-up lesson need to be arranged through the office only. It is the parent’s responsibility to initiate the scheduling of make-up lessons.  Make-up lessons are based on teacher’s availability and may not be scheduled during the student’s original lesson day and time.    No refunds or make-ups are given for any missed make-up lessons.
In the event that a teacher is absent, Opus119 will provide a highly qualified and experienced substitute who will ensure the proper continuity of the student’s lesson.
