WVSU Cares Day Volunteer Registration for Friday, April 17, 2026
WVSU Cares Day brings together Yellow Jacket students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends for a one-of-a-kind service opportunity. Project sites around the community of Institute, and in Kanawha and Putnam counties, have already been identified. The projects may include outdoor clean-up, working with youth, literacy education, serving meals, office work, and a variety of other worthwhile endeavors.

Volunteers are an integral part of the success of this event as they build relationships and help their fellow Yellow Jackets get connected to community service.  Community service can be a rewarding undertaking for anyone, and WVSU Cares Day will include many fun, hands-on activities that motivate and involve volunteers while offering a sense of accomplishment and camaraderie.
