Appeal for Course Overload
According to the UM policy, students are limited to enrolling in the following number of credit hours per session:
Fall/Spring  -19 credit hours
Summer I/II- 7 credit hours
Full Summer- 14 credit hours
May/Aug/Jan Intercessions- 4 credit hours

Students who wish to exceed the maximum number of credit hours in a session must request that any course going over the limit be added by the Office of the Dean. Permission will only be given if there is a compelling reason and the student must have a cumulative GPA four-tenths of a point above 2.0 for each extra hour desired.

There will be additional fees per credit hours for course overloads.  Please Note:  Even if approval is given by the office of the Dean to exceed the course load limit, Financial Aid may not agree to pay the access.  Please allow 48 to 72 hours before you receive a response.
