First Year Network Program Mentor Application 2019-2020
The First-Year Network is a one year, comprehensive peer-mentoring program designed to provide first-year students with peer mentors. These relationships help build positive learning communities on campus, help students engage more on campus, and guide new students to learn about our academic culture. As a mentor, you will provide guidance and support for your mentees as they navigate through newfound residential, academic, and social lives as a first-year student. Mentors facilitate meetings and provide informal coaching and advising throughout the academic year for their mentees. You will be expected to attend a MANDATORY training session during fall semester and dedicate 5 hours per month to their mentoring position during the 2019-2020 academic year.
