This application is to be completed by the parent/guardian of resident or non-resident student desiring to attend a Walker County school for which they are not zoned.
All students who live within the jurisdiction of Walker County Schools, which excludes city of Chickamauga residents, are considered resident students. Resident students who desire to attend a Walker County school that they are not zoned for may apply to attend another Walker County school as an out-of-zone student.
Students who live outside the jurisdiction of Walker County Schools, for example, Dade County, Catoosa County, Chattooga County, and city of Chickamauga residents, are considered non-residents. Non-resident students who desire to attend a Walker County school may apply to attend a Walker County school as an out-of-district student.
The application window for out-of-zone and out-of-district students is May 1 through August 1.
