2017 CATESOL OC Graduate Student Initiative: Application Form
The CATESOL Orange County Chapter is implementing the CATESOL OC Graduate Student Initiative, a program designed to encourage TESOL graduate students in Orange County to get a head start on their professional development and become an active member of CATESOL and the CATESOL Orange County Chapter by offering three free admissions to the Spring OC 2017 Workshop. We will select three students from California State University Fullerton, California State University Long Beach, and Biola University respectively based on the application. At the workshop, all three selected students will be recognized and awarded with a certificate.

Application deadline: April 10, 2017.

Criteria include:
1. Must be able to attend the CATESOL OC Chapter Spring Workshop on April 29, 2017
2. Must be a current TESOL/Linguistics graduate student at one of the universities: Cal State Fullerton, Cal State Long Beach, Biola University (a copy of current class schedule is required).
3. Not a current or former member of CATESOL.
4. Must be able to give a report back to your fellow classmates about the workshop or write an article to the CATESOL NEWS.
*The article submitted to CATESOL NEWS should be about your experience as one of the students chosen to participate in the Graduate Student Initiative, NOT a report of the workshop. It should be what you gained from participating in the graduate student initiative, including what it was like for you reporting the experience to your peers or/and  what make the workshop interesting and valuable for you. Here is the guideline for the CATESOL NEWS:
5. Must be able to attend at least one CATESOL OC Chapter board meeting before or after the workshop and be interested in possibly becoming a member of CATESOL, and choosing Orange County as your chapter. (The CATESOL OC meetings are held regularly to discuss local and statewide education policies, event organization, and teaching or professional development opportunities.)
