ReImagine Native Urban Garden Stewardship Program is a volunteer-led program that builds gardens for people who want to grow native plants/garden/habitat in their own yards. NUGS focuses our efforts in areas impacted by environmental and social inequity.

We are seeking hands-on and planning volunteers, no experience necessary. Hands-on gardening volunteers should be able to help on-site within the Turtle Creek Watershed (like North Versailles, Wilmerding, Wall, East McKeesport, North Braddock, East Pittsburgh, and Turtle Creek). Planning volunteers keep the program moving forward and participate in zoom meetings from the comfort of their home.

ReImagine Native Urban Garden Stewardship Program is a volunteer-led initiative dedicated to enhancing local ecosystems through native-species gardens in order to create a biodiverse network of native backyard habitats. We do this by assisting with design, providing all materials, coordinating installations, providing resources, site visits and hands-on education, and support to residential NUGS gardeners in our program for 2 years. Protect PT is the fiscal sponsor for NUGS.
