Women in Stem (WIS) is a Toronto based program, dedicated to uplifting female youth in underserved communities. Our goal is to encourage future female leaders in exploring STEM fields such as science, technology, engineering and math.
The “Speak Up” campaign will help to raise awareness of the discrimination faced by underprivileged and marginalized groups currently in or pursuing a career in STEM (e.g. school, workplaces, training). We highly encourage those who identify as BIPOC to participate. Your stories of lived experiences will be shared on our social media platforms (ex. Instagram, LinkedIn, and our website) to shine a lens on the issues faced by our communities and build a resilient network of empowered individuals.
We want to hear your stories and experiences! Please take your time in answering the questions below. Your responses are completely ANONYMOUS, excluding general demographic information. Together we can work towards overcoming the persisting challenges faced by women and girls in the STEM community.
WIS is generously funded by the City of Toronto.
