What factors influenced your choice of a program/medical school?
Abstract: As students progress through their pre-medical and medical training, there are many factors that influence the program in which they wish to attend and train at. However, there is limited research on the topic which could pose great benefit to various programs seeking applicants. While many students look to forums such as Reddit or Student Doctor Network to ask for insight from other medical students, literature review has shown no objective data on this matter. In this study, pre-medical students are surveyed through an online exploratory survey to gauge which factors they deemed most influential in determining their choice of medical school. This qualitative data will be openly coded for content analysis. The data, along with the content analysis, will be reviewed utilizing the grounded theory approach.
