St. John the Baptist Parish Procedures and COVID-19 Preventive and Safety Measures
As you make this reservation, we want to assure you that our parish staff is making every effort in order to maintain a liturgical environment which is always safe, secure and prayerful for all. Therefore, also during our Holy Week and Easter celebrations we will continue to follow the subsequent and necessary provisions:
* During our Saturday evening and Sunday Masses, as well as for any other special liturgies, there are greeters at the main entrance doors of our church to welcome you, to hand you personally a copy of our bulletin, and to address any concerns or special needs; * We enter through the main doors of the church located by our statue of Saint John the Baptist, or in the same area accessed from our back parking lot; * Everyone is obligated to wear a mask for his/her own protection and for the necessary protection of other parishioners; * We all sanitize our hands upon entering church; * The main collection basket will be located in the entrance area of the church, with other collection baskets being available in the church aisles; * Our dedicated ushers direct us during distribution of Holy Communion at every Mass. Everyone will continue to receive communion in their hand; * We all exit ONLY from side doors of the East and West Wings and directly into our parking areas; * The church is completely disinfected and sanitized after every Mass and is diligently prepared for the following liturgy.
