I Love My Park Day - Lown Memorial Garden Restoration at College Hill Park
The Lown Memorial Garden is a wonderful historic rock garden on the east side of College Hill Park in the City of Poughkeepsie. In 2013 a portion of the garden was restored as a beautiful pollinator garden. Join the Revive College Hill Park Coalition, the Student Conservation Association (SCA) and the Environmental Cooperative on May 4th, as we complete the restoration of this local Historic Landmark.

We will be working with SCA to reset the unique and historic rocks that are located in the garden, remove invasive species and prepare the flower beds for planting in June.

The agenda for the day is:
⦁ 8:30 AM arrival, 9:00 AM start
⦁ 9:00 – 11:30 AM: Break into two groups - plant removal, garden prep & rock work/historic preservation
⦁ 11:30 – 12:30 PM: Lunch
⦁ 12:30 PM – 3 PM: Continue working

Helping out any time during the day would be much appreciated!
