The NYC POC Healing Circle is proud to host a reiki clinic specifically for the Black/Afro-Diasporic Community.
In person sessions are held on the 3rd Saturday of the month from 1-3 pm at Shining Star Yoga in Jamaica, Queens. Virtual sessions are available all month long. Please see our IG @nycpochealingcircle for each month's practitioners.
In person sessions will consist of a group reiki practice from 1-2 pm and 1:1 sessions from 2-3pm.
The group session includes a guided plant & herb limpieza, intention setting for self and the community, and ancestral upliftment and healing prayers. The energy exchange is $25-$45. Your payment will be used to pay for space rental, materials, and remaining funds will be distributed equally among practitioners.
1:1 services (in-person and virtual) offered are:
30 min reiki - Clients will be seated or laying down. The practitioner will conduct a body scan to locate heavy and stagnant energies. Those energies will then be cleared out with Usui reiki. The energy exchange is $35-$55.
45 min limpieza & reiki - The practitioner will conduct a body scan to locate heavy and stagnant energies, assist in clearing those energies using fresh herbs and eggs*, perform an no touch energy/distance extraction using the DKM symbol, and close with no touch/distance Usui reiki. This option is highly recommended for folx with chronic pain, depression, and PTSD. *In virtual sessions the practitioner will verbally guide the client through the limpieza and the client is responsible for acquiring their own herbs & eggs. The energy exchange is $60-$80.
These sessions may bring some lightness, relaxation, and ease to folx experiencing chronic pain, anxiety, and stress.
This location of the in person sessions is not wheelchair accessible. The studio space is underground and has one flight of 6 stairs. There is one step at the entrance to the building. Please let us know of your accessibility needs prior to your appointment.
Mask wearing is required. The space is equipped with an air purifier. Hand washing before coming into the space is highly recommended.
