With this in mind, the Members and Executive Committee of the Ensign Academy of Dentistry have chosen to award this scholarship to help the recipient to have the opportunity to feel the joy of providing humanitarian service in the dental profession.
The goal of this scholarship is to allow the recipient to have a meaningful, service-oriented experience which will help them to focus on charity for others and feel the love our Savior has for both them and those they serve.
It is expected that the recipient of this scholarship will continue to have an active involvement as a member of the Ensign Academy of Dentistry. As part of the criteria for receipt of this scholarship the awardee will be expected to submit a short (3 slide) presentation to share with the Academy Members during the 2024 Annual Conference Humanitarian Luncheon. (Recipient need not be present at the conference, their presentation can be submitted to Kristen at the Ensign Academy of Dentistry for presentation in their absence.)
This scholarship provides the recipient with financial assistance to aid them in paying for a Humanitarian Service Trip with one of the
Friends of the Academy OR an Academy approved organization chosen by the scholarship winner.REWARD AMOUNT: Up to $3000.00 based upon eligible expenses for the trip of choice.
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP APPLICANTS MUST;
1. Be a current member of the Ensign Academy of Dentistry. You must have been a member for a minimum of one year prior to application. You can verify your membership status at

2. Be able to arrange their schedule for travel to finish the trip prior to the conference held August 2024.
3. Commit to sharing a short (3 slide) presentation about their trip with the 2024 conference attendees. (Recipient need not be present at the conference, their presentation can be submitted to Kristen at the Ensign Academy of Dentistry for presentation in their absence.)

The Scholarship Review Committee will evaluate each application with careful and thoughtful contemplation. Recipients of scholarship awards will be notified by June 30, 2023.
PLEASE NOTE: Award monies will be paid as a REIMBURSEMENT for trip expenses and/or paid directly to the Humanitarian Trip organization (Friend of the Academy), airline etc. to facilitate payment of trip expenses.
