Welcome to CSC400 - Computer Science Project Seminar!
This is a 3-credit capstone course where you'll work in teams of 3 on real-world software development, research, or client-sponsored projects.
TEAM FORMATION: You will work in teams of 3 students. You can: • Apply with a team already formed, OR • Apply individually and we'll help you find teammates.
PROJECT SELECTION: You can: • Apply with a project and proposal already prepared, OR • Choose from available client-sponsored projects, OR • Get help selecting an appropriate project
PREREQUISITES REQUIRED: • CSC 330 (Software Engineering) - completed or currently taking • At least 6 Tier 2 CSC courses • Senior standing (90+ credits)
COURSE SECTIONS (Choose ONE - all teammates must be in same section): • Section 01: Tuesdays 5:00-7:30 PM (CRN: SCSU40728.202640) • Section 02: Wednesdays 5:00-7:30 PM (CRN: SCSU41797.202640)
First Class: January 21, 2026
Format: Online Synchronous. Final Presentation In-Person
Commitment: 6-10 hours per week outside of class
REGISTRATION PROCESS:
- Complete this application
- Send your project proposal to Prof. Cain (details: https://sites.google.com/view/scsucsc400)
- Wait for approval email (within 2-3 business days)
- If approved, you'll receive a permission code
- Register for CSC400 using your permission code (starting Nov 4 - December)
