EdGE Learning Centre (BVCLS) Membership     September 2023 through August 2024
Who is BVCLS

The BVCLS is a non-profit society formed in Spring of 2019 in Smithers with the intention of supporting and creating diverse educational programs. We operate the Edge Learning Centre in the Bulkley Valley.

It is our goal to help our children grow into self-aware adults, responsible community members, and effective global citizens with social and environmental consciousness.

We believe this can be achieved through collaboration, active contribution, community involvement, experiential learning in multi-age groups, and interest-led investigations.

We value safe, inclusive learning spaces that are respectful of the natural learning processes.

To this end we will connect learners with mentors through creating individual programs, funding learning opportunities, providing physical space or equipment for other education initiatives, and sourcing grants and resources throughout the Bulkley Valley.

Annual Family memberships are an investment of $50 and run through the school calendar year from September 2023-August 2024.
Membership benefits:
Driven by volunteer contributions, fundraising, donations and grants etc.

Ways to get involved!                                                         BVCLS is a registered non-profit and is volunteer driven.  Everything you see at the EdGE Learning Centre was made possible by donations of treasure, talent or time.  We have an 8-member board at present, with a treasurer, secretary, chair, vice-chair and some subcommittee chairs. We have a large vision; we have accomplished much since we formed in 2019, but we have larger goals.  We need your help to continue our efforts to meet the educational needs of our children, members and families.
