The Aerodrome Figure Skating department is always on the lookout for great friendly coaches to join our staff. From time to time we offer both paid and volunteer positions on our coaching staff. Skating qualifications are an important part of our application process with fast-track opportunities for those skaters who hold a USFS Gold Medal. Great importance is placed on applicants that are well groomed, energetic, great role models, and above all can manage their time effectively. *

Coach Aid - Description.  Coach Aids are skaters that want to volunteer their time to assist with the running of the Learn to Skate Classes. This is the first step to becoming a coach by gaining valuable experience and at the same time receiving volunteer credits. This position is unpaid and does not offer any Aerodrome discounts. Minimum Age 13* *

Assistant Coach - Description.  The Assistant Coach position is offered to those skaters who Aerodrome feel may one day become a qualified Learn to Skate Coach. Most of the time they will assist the coaching staff and sometimes may lead a class. The Assistant Coach must have great communication skills both with management, staff, skaters and parents. The Assistant Coach must be a good role model, energetic, and well presented. The Assistant Coach is not allowed to give private lessons but they will  receive a credit on their Daysmart account of $15 per 30 minute class (paid at the end of each semester) Minimum Age: 13. Minimum Skating Level: USFS Intermediate* *

Learn to Skate Coach - Description.  The Learn to Skate Coach are the 'shop window' of our skating school and therefore will need to be well presented, confident, and capable of delivering a great class experience to various levels of skaters. In most cases the coach will be a proficient skater able to demonstrate new skills to skaters of all ages and levels. The Learn to Skate Coach must have been an Assistant Coach at Aerodrome for a period of at least six months to be considered for this position. The exception to this rule is a skaters who has passed a USFS Gold Medal (excluding Adult Gold) with an Aerodrome Coach being their primary instructor. Minimum Age:15. Minimum Skating Level: USFS Novice*. A Junior Coach will be at least 15 years old, be a qualified Learn to Skate USA Coach and hold Liability Insurance. Benefits: Allowed to teach Private Lessons. 25% Discount off most Aerodrome Figure Skating Programs. Free Public Sessions. *
