2021 STEM/CASE ASB Application
Thank you for applying to be a mentor/educator with the CASE and/or STEM Alternative Spring Break program!

This is an exciting program that allows you to gain experience team-teaching and mentoring adolescents and teenagers in the Yakima Valley.

Before you apply, please review the overview of these two programs on the Riverways website for a complete description and dates of the activities. This application serves as the application for either program or both (you will indicate your preference below). Please note that Riverways has other ASB programs you might be interested under the Alternative Spring Break dropdown menu.

4. An important part of this project is working as a part of a UW student team. Please give an example of a team you've been involved in, and how you contributed to the team's collaboration and success. *
5. What is your understanding of inequity in the K-12 education system? *
We recognize that not everyone is from Washington, or even the United States, so please tell us about your understanding of education inequities where you're from.
6. What kinds of sciences do you have experience studying? *

8. What interests you particularly about working with tribal, immigrant and rural communities in Washington? Have you ever worked with any of these communities (or similar communities) before? *
9. These programs (both STEM and CASE) require a full commitment from each student. Are you available to take part in the Winter Quarter seminar, Tuesdays and Thursdays 4:30 - 5:50 PM? *
