This YWiC after-school program is for young women in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade. No experience is necessary and there is no cost to apply or attend. All sessions are on Mondays.

This YWiC after-school program sponsored by NCWIT is for young women in 9th, 10th, 11th, and 12th grade.

NMSU is a nationally ranked Carnegie Foundation research institution with top performing programs and services. We strive for excellence in all areas of teaching and learning and work to identify best practices for continued success. All participants will engage in this process via pre- and post-assessments, entry and exit interviews, daily surveys, and other data gathering methods.

After-school programs are presented by the outreach team in the Department of Computer Science at NMSU! Instructors are accomplished NMSU students studying computer science and electrical engineering. We utilize near-peer undergraduate students as educators to build strong connections between participants and the exciting world of CS.

This is an after-school program to be held in Las Cruces on the NMSU Campus in Science Hall. The program meets once a week for 6 weeks. *
Sessions are held weekly on Mondays from 4:30 PM - 6:30 PM. This program allows for 20 young women, and include snacks, materials and supplies, an opportunity to win technology prices, plus swag. Undergraduate students are NMSU staff.. In order for your application to be considered, you must:
School should be your main priority, and we understand that "life" happens. We just ask that you inform us when you know you will not be able to attend a session. Since acceptance is based on first entry, we ask all applicants to commit to the entire 6 weeks.
