The Colorado Children's Book Award was established by Dr. Bill Curtis in 1975 to encourage children's active involvement with books and reading. The CCBA committee is sponsored by Colorado Council of the International Reading Association.
-The library should provide (can be through public library, school purchase, or book sets provided by CCIRA) at least 10 of the nominated books.
-Each child must have read, or heard, a minimum of three books in order to vote.
-Each child may vote for a picture book and a junior book if they have read a minimum of three books in each category.
-We encourage nominations from students, up to 20 per school. Please give a tally of how many students nominate a particular title.
-Votes and nominations are due March 1, 2022
Thank you for participating in CCBA! Please fill in the ballot and submit your votes. The CCBA committee will tally votes and let you know the winners after mid-March 2022 meeting. If you include your school address, we will send you the CCBA sticker to place on the winners!
